How I Went From 0 to 10,000 Followers (and Built a Six-Figure Brand Doing It)
You open the Instagram app and your business profile says “0 followers.”
It feels a little like standing at the bottom of a mountain in heels.
I’ve been there.
Before I built a six-figure agency. Before we supported 100+ premium clients. Before the team, the systems, the bookings—there was just me, trying to show up online, unsure who was even watching.
But let me be clear:
That first 1,000 followers?
That’s where your brand power starts.
And it’s not just about the number.
It’s about building connection, clarity, and conversion—with the right audience from day one.
So if you’re sitting at 0, 100, 500 followers right now? This blog is for you.
STEP 1: PICK YOUR POSITIONING (NOT JUST A NICHE)
Let’s ditch the generic “find your niche” advice. That’s outdated.
Instead, ask yourself this:
What problem do I solve for my dream client—and how can I show up like the solution?
I didn’t build BrandHive by shouting into the void. I showed up with intentional messaging, visuals that aligned, and services that spoke directly to:
Medspas with high-ticket services and no marketing
Stylists doing luxury extensions who needed strategy
Personal brands trying to sell, but with no system behind the scenes
Once you clarify who you’re for and what you solve, your brand has direction.
And content becomes easier (and profitable).
STEP 2: USE MY ATTRACT | ALIGN | CONVERT SYSTEM
Here’s how we build authority for our clients—and how I built mine.
✨ ATTRACT
Create content that brings people in: trending Reels, quick value tips, behind-the-scenes. Show personality, story, and spark curiosity. We do this daily for our agency clients. You can start with 2–3 reels a week.
💬 ALIGN
Nurture the audience you’ve brought in with deeper content:
Carousels, longer captions, story sequences that create connection.
This is where you position yourself as the go-to expert without being pushy.
💸 CONVERT
Your stories matter. Your DMs matter.
That’s where the sales happen—especially if you’re a personal brand or service provider.
Every day you should be sharing how your audience can work with you, what you offer, and how you solve their problem.
STEP 3: SYSTEMS MATTER — EVEN AT 200 FOLLOWERS
I scaled fast because I didn’t wait until I was booked out to build systems.
Here’s what I put in place early:
HoneyBook: For contracts, proposals, invoices, and onboarding
Notion: To plan content, build workflows, and map launch strategy
Google Workspace: To manage business communication, projects, timelines, SOP’s, meetings, and more
Time blocking: Because if it’s not on my calendar, it’s not happening
You can’t scale chaos.
Set up systems before you think you need them, and you’ll be ready when the growth hits.
STEP 4: SHOW UP (WITHOUT THE OVERWHELM)
You don’t need to post 7 days a week. But you do need to be consistent.
3–4 times per week on your feed
Show your face on stories 4–5 days a week
Talk about what you offer at least once a day
Don’t overthink it. Don’t make it deeper than it is.
Your audience doesn’t need you to be perfect—they just need you to be present.
And trust me, they’re watching even when they don’t engage (yet).
FINAL THOUGHTS
I didn’t build my agency on luck.
I built it on strategy, systems, and showing up before anyone clapped.
If you’re ready to grow your brand and get booked, your followers will come—but only if your backend matches your front end.
